Bringing Gearset’s Employer Value Proposition to Life

Context:

A company's employer brand is constantly under scrutiny by both current and prospective employees. This particular client recently introduced their new Employee Value Proposition (EVP). They were facing difficulties in attracting top tech talent, and they needed a creative way to let people know about their new EVP.


Action:

I devised a strategy, crafting a user-generated content (UGC) style video featuring one of Gearset's senior lead engineers. This video served as a platform for employees to candidly share their experiences and stories, providing viewers with an insider's look into what it's truly like to be a part of the Gearset team, and critical aspects of their EVP.


Results:

  • It generated more than 15,000 social media impressions
  • The campaign led to the successful recruitment of four key senior hires


Improving Conversion Rates with Lasting Content

Context:

The Home Office sought to enhance its brand perception in order to attract and retain tech talent for their positions. Our objective was to address negative sentiments associated with the brand and ultimately improve the quality of hires and reduce turnover rates.


Action:

To kickstart our efforts, we conducted a comprehensive survey to gather candidate feedback about their perception of the brand. This valuable data enabled us to identify the reasons behind interview declines and uncover any negative associations with the brand. Armed with this insight, we implemented a strategic recruitment marketing campaign spanning six months.


Results:

Over the course of six months, we observed a significant decrease in negative brand sentiment, reducing the percentage of individuals who felt the company was not suitable for them from 14% to 2%.

Leveraging Social Proof for Enhanced Brand Credibility and Growth

Context:

Social proof is one of the most important aspects to build brand trust and credibility, since people are more and more skeptical in their purchase decisions.


Action:

Recognizing this, I addressed the pain points commonly encountered by tech talent during their job search. By leveraging their experiences and success stories into short videos, I strategically contributed to the enhancement of hackajob's brand reputation, increased candidate sign-ups, fostered trust with candidates, and elevated overall product and brand awareness.


Results:

  • Increased trust in the hackajob product
  • Significant growth in the number of candidates signing up to the platform
